Description

Training in the application of the developed protocol by organizing a Thermal Walk

The partners of the Cool Towns project meet at least twice a year. This partner meeting on 16 and 17 May 2019 was organized by CAPSO (the Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays de Saint-Omer) and AUD (Agency for Urban planning and Development of the Saint-Omer and Flandre Interieure region).

On the agenda there was, among other things, a presentation by Dr. Snigdha Jain (Greater London Autority) on the subject of Heat Risk in London, Translational Research, Modeling and Report Guidance.
The state of affairs within the various pilots and work packages was also presented.
Under the supervision of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, the participants made a “thermal walk” through Saint Omer: various hot and cold places were visited in the historic city center and climate comfort was mapped using measuring instruments.
