Description

Albert Figurt is an Italian video-artisan, independent researcher and Video Vortex member. In this series of videos, which are recordings of his Desktop Narrative Workshop he gave on the 3rd of November in 2020, he gives a practical introduction to the art & craft of “screencast storytelling” – or how to come up with some experimental audio/visual clips while locked at home with nothing but your laptop & a wifi connection (thus not necessarily using [professional] cameras, [conventional] editing or [additional] sound-tracks..). Will the results of this interplay be up-to-date video-art, meta-fictional madness, covid-inspired indie commentary, frame-within-frame mind games or artsy film-making? This workshop was part of the event series Tactical Visual Culture, organized by the Institute of Network Cultures and the Visual Methodologies Collective at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS).
