‘Improve the world, start an enterprise’. Entrepreneurship with the aim of solving social problems is becoming increasingly common in the Netherlands. In the past decade, many social enterprises have started and scaled - both their organisation and their impact. There is also increasing attention for social entrepreneurship from 'regular' companies, policy makers and education. At the 2025 Annual Meeting of DARE, we aim to identify next steps in the development of social entrepreneurship. How do social enterprises scale their impact, within and outside of their organization? What are the latest trends in impact measurement? And how can you develop social entrepreneurial competences?
