Description

A self-paced eLearning course focusing on the fundamentals of COIL project design for educators was developed. The motivation for the eLearning course is to eliminate access barriers to educators interested in designing COIL projects whilst safeguarding their quality. The eLearning module accounts for actual student experiences, proposed plans of approach, and supporting documentation. The design method chosen vor the eLearning course allows for any institution to follow the course through a link or LMS, where they can track user progress by making use of the assessments built into the course. The formatting of the course allows for it to be translated using XLIFF files that are recognized by translation agencies accross the globe allowing for the course to be available in any language. This is the 1st of it's kind and the idea is for it to be an open educational source and key contribution by AMSIB/HvA to the global educational community.
