Ethics Mapping for AI2

Description

The workshop Mapping the Ethics of the AI² Projects, held on 17 November 2025 at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, brought together members of the AI² consortium for a collective working session on how ethics is understood and enacted across their projects. Rather than aiming for a fixed definition, the workshop focused on making visible the diverse ethical concerns, stakeholder relations, and power dynamics shaping research practices.

The session was structured around an adapted version of the Map Ethics! method, through which participants mapped stakeholders, resources, and forms of power within their projects. This process enabled comparative reflection across teams, highlighting differences, overlaps, and blind spots, while fostering discussion on inclusivity, responsibility, and situated impact.

I contributed to the workshop by supporting the design of its conceptual framework and materials, including the adaptation of the mapping method and the development of the visual tools used during the exercise.
