Continuous hand therapy at home is crucial for children with cerebral palsy to maintain and even enhance motor function. However, we understand that repetitive exercises can be demotivating. That's why we're exploring the potential of smart toys to make therapy engaging, personalized, and effective. Do you believe that innovation and play can revolutionize therapy? Join us for an engaging workshop that dives into the exciting world of smart toys and their impact on hand therapy. In this workshop we will gain a comprehensive understanding of the theory, context, and technology underpinning smart toys in therapy. It will be an opportunity for hands-on creativity by rolling up your sleeves and engaging in practical sessions to design innovative toys using our TCT-Smart Toys framework. This workshop is part of the research of Tamara Pinos Cisneros, a PhD candidate and educator with the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and the University of Twente. Her research and education activities focus on the creative use of technology in different fields.
