Description
The aim of this workshop is to collectively create imaginaries for a symbiotic city in the future, where nature and humans flourish. This will be done through conversations, reconsideration of our values, imagination of the future using iconic images of the city of Amsterdam, creative drawing skills, generative AI, and the stimulating environment of ARTIS. During the workshop, we will work with five iconic pictures of the city of Amsterdam and re-imagine what a nature-inclusive version of such places could look like, using the input of workshop participants in the form of drawings and AI text prompts. The drawings and prompts will be used by the facilitators to generate synthetic images representing the collective imaginary of the future symbiotic Amsterdam. The images will be presented at the start of the second day of the workshop, and participants will be invited to come up with practical recommendations and strategies to bring such imaginaries to life. The AI co-created pictures will be used for a novel exhibition at ARTIS-Groote Museum and disseminated through multiple channels including a meeting report, which will be submitted for publication to the open access journal Challenges.| Period | 20 Jun 2024 → 21 Jun 2024 |
