Description
The U!REKA European University community gathered in Helsinki during the Connects 2025 conference. This alliance consists of more than 30 partners, including AUAS (HvA).The conference focused on how to foster connections between colleagues from different European universities of applied sciences around the shared goal of a climate-neutral and resilient future.
Dr. Caroline van der Kooij and Dr. Marije Kanis hosted a hands-on workshop entitled 'Building Blocks for Interdisciplinary Research for Urban Challenges'. This creative and interactive workshop for their international colleagues explored how to engage in interdisciplinary research, and how U!REKA can help ensure that researchers find and connect with one another.
Questions such as “What is your (un)sustainable practice of the day?”, “Which urban challenge are you working on", and "with which other disciplines would you like to collaborate to tackle it?” sparked lively discussions right from the start.
The result? New connections, fresh ideas, collected data, and follow-up meetings to further explore potential interdisciplinary collaborations —goal achieved!
