The environment in which people live influences their behaviour, lifestyle, and health. A neighbourhood with strong social cohesion and plenty of green spaces benefits health. However, factors such as noise and litter reduce quality of life and negatively impact health. The Health Contexts research group is researching how to promote healthy living in people’s own neighbourhoods. Most importantly, it focuses on how to achieve this together with the residents themselves.
