Hi there!

Welcome to my Pure profile page. I’m a social psychologist who loves to study human behavior. I’ve always been fascinated by the question why we act the way we do and how the (social and physical) environment we are in can alter our behavior.

The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences is where I work. I am a teacher at the study Applied Psychology and I work as a researcher for a research group with the name ‘Poverty Interventions’. I teach courses in behavior change, behavioral economics, the psychology behind scarcity, how to design campaigns and applied social research. Next to that, I am a tutor of students who are in their third year and I help them with finding an internship that fits their career goals and coach them along the way. As a researcher, I study financial behavior. At this moment, I am involved in a study about how best to communicate with people who experience difficulties paying their rent.
