Her aim is to address current challenges while exploring the creative and conceptual opportunities that arise from advanced forms of production. In recent years, her academic focus has been guiding students and researchers in seeking novel material solutions and experimental building methods, involving: hands-on material research, hacking industrial CNC or robotic fabrication equipment with DIY devices, and programming software for the generation, simulation and optimization of form. This work has been internationally recognized and pushed by her alumni in other academic environments and innovative design offices.

Marta’s own professional practice specializes in applying these technologies for the production of bespoke interior designs, large-scale installations and architectural applications. Integral to her practice is to share her knowledge speaking at events, act as a consultant for other professionals and curate exhibitions on design & technology for a larger public. Her projects have been published in various design media.
