Research interests

Rose Leighton is a Senior Lecturer for the Creative Business program at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS). Drawing on her background in trade publishing, she lectures on topics such as Rights Trading, Royalties, and Book Concepts and Content. In the past, she has taught a range of courses, including International Publishing, Crossmedia Concepting, Editorial Skills, and Social Media Research, while also acting as a supervisor for graduation projects and internships.

Currently, Rose is working on her doctoral research within the research department Higher Education, Research and Innovation (HERI) at the AUAS and the Centre for Instructional Psychology and Technology (CIPT) at KU Leuven. Her research focuses on how lecturers in applied sciences handle educational resources, examining how they select, structure, and present these resources.
